Demonstrates independence

Working independently and self-monitoring to stay on task over a period of time will allow your child to complete activities on her own. An increased time working independently and asking questions or prompting a child with questions to solve her own problem will facilitate growth in independence. Ask your child to try a task alone before stepping in to provide assistance.
